Model City Disaster Drills

 

On March 14, 2007, Village of Dodge community members participated in a model city table top disaster drill sponsored by Region 5/6 Emergency Management.

Region 5/6 has implemented a new program to practice community emergency preparedness. The new model city is used to simulate a local disaster that will help the drill participants test their response skills. This is a hands-on program that draws the participants into the scenario because the model city is set up to resemble the specific community. Participants can practice identifying command posts and staging areas, deploying equipment and disseminating mutual aid resources during the drill.
