Model City Disaster Drills
Region 5/6 has implemented a model city disaster drill program to practice community emergency preparedness. The model city is used to simulate a local disaster that will help the drill participants test their response skills. This is a hands-on program that draws the participants into the scenario because the model city is set up to resemble the specific community. Participants can practice identifying command posts and staging areas, deploying equipment and disseminating mutual aid resources during the drill.

To schedule your community's model city disaster drill, call the Region 5/6 Emergency Management office at 402-727-2785.
